Since I'm going away for 10 days holiday, I will be setting up my auto top-off system. Decided to top off with Mg + KH buffer dissolved in DI water. However, Ca will be separate and built a simple gravity feed dosing which will go directly into my top-off water reservoir, since the Ca additive does not dissolve completely.

Any issues with mixing the additives Mg+Ca+KH?

i think u can' t mix additives coz they would precipitate out y not use kalk and drip this way u have both cal and alkalinity at same time :eyebrow:

Anyway, the darn thing doesn't work too well. The drip rate is too fast even though I close off the needle valve fully. Looks like cannot trust cheap plastic stuff that costs 20 cents :rolleyes::upsidedown: Will be getting some IV bags from a friend in medical field tomorrow to try out.

I've mixed my MG and KH in the same top-off container... so far so good. No precipitation seen. :whistle
