Sea-horses

I read somewhere that sea-horses should only be kept in a species-only tank.

Today, I saw a pair in a marine community tank at a LFS and one of them is obviously pregnant or having a pot-belly! :D

This shows that they are thriving in a community tank - can even "have fun" while others are watching.

pls do not be fooled by the lfs tank.. they can afford to replace the stuff every other day when it dies.. what u see in the tank is probably pregnant even b4 the seahorse was placed inside the tank.. yes.. u can have seahorses in a community tank.. with fishes that do not swim ard very much.. actually, i really doubt that they are able to get any food if they were to be placed in a community tank.. they are very slow in chasing after their food..

Let us work together to preserve the world for our children to inherit by being responsible to our surroundings. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, bubbles and memories.

i second that. its just a temporary illusion.

Anything that swims faster than the SH will get to the food first.Sh will stalk their prey for a while...before eating it.

by temporary, i mean maybe u will watch the SH starve over a period 6-8mths in a community tank.
