Tot of getting a Weipro Protein Skimmer for my new 2.5ftx2ftx2ft tank, which model must I buy, where can I get the

best price?

Currently I'm running a Tunze9002 protein skimmer for my 2ft nano tank, only use it for 3mths, guess will not be

able to use it on my new tank liao

Any recommendation for reliable yet not so costly protein skimmer?

Bro, protein skimmers are much cheaper and affordable nowadays.. Suggest you get 1 better unit other than Weipro since its 1 of the more important equipment for your tank.

Whats your budget and considerations?

Many bros are selling their skimmers at very good pricing...

My new tank measure 30"x20"x24" around 240L.

My budget around $200plus. How about the RedSea Prizm HandOn Protein Skimmer?

Aquamarin is selling protein skimmers, you can try the cheaper aquanaut and reef octopus skimmers; they are all under 200 bucks. You can check it out on their website.

I have heard complaints about weirpro skimmers, saying that they do not skim well and that some people have trouble working them. The only reasonable china brand of skimmer i have come across is boyu (although some may disagree). It has served by nano tank well for the past 6 months, never failing. However, i am still looking to upgrade to one of the above skimmers in due course.

A protein skimmer is an essential component of your tank. You can skimp on other things like DI units (e.g. cyrstal pro 1 canister is good enough, don't need to buy german brand) but a good skimmer would reap benifits over and over. I strongly suguest you invest a few more dollars to get a decent skimmer. Its not much really, come to think of it.

for nano, i think prizm does deliver but for your tank, maybe something higher capacity. look at the second hand market to source for good and cheap skimmer. all the best.
