some pple will tell u,abit of bioballs will be ok

some say if u use the right way its ok

some will tell u. " u see my tank, use so much for so long also ok,"

but the thing is. all things work differently and very very very seldom someone will teach u 100%

so becareful, what works elsewhere doesnt mean it will work with u.

how they maintain and how u maintain is very different.

That's a great skimmer... Potentially overskimming ur tank... However overskimming doesn't does ne harm and in fact is better... Hoping to see some nice skimmate produced by the SK1... :eyebrow:

1ft cube with IOS [the low tech tank]

1. JBJ C-breeze to keep temp hovering around 27-28'C

2. LED clip on - 120 bulbs

-skimmer-less-

My 3 humble equipments that keeps my tank running... [DRIED OUT]

1. The RSM itself of course 2.My NEW Deltec MCE-300 Skimmer 3. My trusty Arctica Chiller

Tank parameters:

Temperature maintained at 25.3'C to 24.7'C

No3: 10ppm(b4 the use of the deltec skimmer)

No3: 5ppm (after use of the skimmer)

Others? too lazy to measure...LOL

yea heard some gd reviews on this skimmer before i decided on this.. was told that its oversized for my tank.. hmm.. guess its gd for the corals? except some lps and soft corals which likes nutrient rich water i guess.. but as a newbie i prefer to overskim and leave less room for errors.

haha ic.. post pics soon!

anyways been examining the sump tank and found that there were lots of sorb4 flying around.. its like very fine particles.. is it normal? will it clear off by itself? and my filter wool is covered by brown colour substance which i think is sorb 4 too. my flowrate through the fr is about 600 litres only..
