3ft shallow tank

Recommended Posts

Thought of coming back to this hobby after MIA for 3yrs..esp. seeing all the nice fishes and corals.. heart itchy again

My previous tank was a 2ft tank. I'm thinking of building a customized tank 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft. Is the dimension okay?

Like a shallow tank so that I can just use T5 lights, instead of MH lights (saving electricity costs also)

Anyone like to share their experience on shallow tank? Would like to know how shallow can it go?

Hey Tanic, I want to custom build a shallow nano tank too.

Like you, I am back after 2 years of NS :P

Aiming for zoas and rics

Mine tank would be about 2.5 x 2.5 x 1.3 ft.

Sump of about 2 x 2 x 1ft

Still figuring out which equip to get.

Anyone would like to share their experiences on shallow tanks, some wisdom would be appreciated :P

Another question, what would be an effective way to combine my skimmer/FR/Chiller together for my tank mentioned above.. :P
