does putting both into an isolation box helps?

Best to get one big and one small... that usually works. if both are ard the same size, they will need to fight it out to see who gets to be the female.

the 1" is alone for 3 months in a nano tank, then transferred to 3x2x2 feet tank

after a month, i got myself another 1.5" and put it in the 3x2x2 tank

both inside for app 6 months

no sign of aggression, they sleep in different corners of the tank

perhaps u could try putting the both of them together
