DIY Protein Skimmer need advise

Hi all,

After completed the needle wheel impeller modification, http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79208

I continue my 2nd stage of the DIY.

2nd stage: Skimmer assembly.

*Again, i still not own marine tank yet so unable to test it out.

Parts disassembly. Most parts are from store room.

After assemble.

Here's the question:

1) Highlighted in Black: Is the waste collector neck too long?

2) Highlighted in Red: Is the internal tube too high?

3) Highlighted in Green: Is the outflow pipe too short?

ok i can see that for the red and black is ok no problem but as for the green one is too short, it as least able to adjust to half the level of the neck of the black but you can go to any hard ware shop to buy the correct size of the pipe
