Hmmm so the bottom part of the heatsink is in contact with water? Then there are alot of choices of commercial CPU coolers to choose from. Quite amazing you managed to reduce the temperature to 14 degrees without TEM module. What was the volume of water being cooled? Flowrate?

the ceremic plieter is not in contact with water as i have used glue stick to seal up. only alluminum probe is in contact with water

for those bros who are afraid of corrosive with salt water you can puracarbons to absorbs very small heavy metal posioning ( which i think not neccessary)

because i believe most of us has drank and used before those water bottle like SIGG.

so just cut a hole & glue the TEM? Let water run through, chill by probe?

anyway to adjust temp?

ACTUALLY IF YOU TECHKIE enought you can use temp controller module

but i am not electronic student so leave it this way

MY OBJECTIVE IS TOO SAVE MONEY AND YET CAN ENJOY MUSHIE AND ANEMONE ETC without coughing $100 more for a resun 450 0r 280 or even cl 85

thats y i want all bros and sis here to able to do this .i can be sure it is better than dolphin 789 tem series which cost $155

THE BEST THING IS THAT LOCK N LOCK COMES IN DIFFRENT SHAPES AND SIZES

YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM.

BUT WARNING THE PLASTIC THEY USED ARE SOLID HARD TO MELT OR CUT.

this DIY CHILLER OR COOLER CAN ALSO BE USED AS A PRE FILTER BY ADDING BIO BALL OR FILTER MEDIA'

WATER PUMP OUT FROM TANK TO DIY COOLER AND PASSES THROUGH MEDIUM AND GRADUALLY GET CHILL AND GOES BACK TO TANK

Hi,

I believe this producet have been available commercially for quite sometime liao - IceProbe, I've used before in a 2ft tank with 2 x T5 and find it difficult to cool during hot days.

Nevertheless, thank for sharing, hope you will be able to solve the inefficiency issue.

I believe the TEM module on the ice probe is only 50w of cooling power. You need about 100w for a 2ft tank. Not sure if it's sold locally but i've seen them for sale online.

Oic, just curious, so how much will it cost to have a TEM module that is sufficient for a 2x1x1? And will the cost and size of the TEM b ecomes prohibitive?

just place all your activated charcoal -puracarbon is a good choice. into the socks bag from dymax

actually not neccessary as i said aluminium is not corrosive.

(reason if its is corrosive than we ourselves would have been poison from drink from SIGG bottles liao haha

just go n buy a mini tem fridge.... and salvage out the tem and power source

and you can have a econmical cooler

safe money alot because running on 12v only 2amp

How much is the Mini Tem fridge?

If I am not wrong, Dolphin Mini Chiller is also using TEM and have 1 model that is rated as 75w and another that is 150w.
