Beckett Skimmer setup

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I have a just setup a new 4 2 2 tank and it has been cycling for 8 days now. I have a Beckett skimmer and I can't seem to raise the water level enough for the waste to overflow. I tried playing with the air control valve and the red "tap" towards the bottom of the skimmer but it does not help.It was foaming a lot on day 2 of cycling, but not now.

Is there any other setting that I can play with?

Thanks for the reply. I managed to resolve the issue last night. The water level control valve did not sit in properly, and hence the problem.

Problem resolved after removing and re-attaching back the value. The skimmer is working fine now. Am using a Rio 20 by the way.
