URGENT HELP NEEDED PLEASE !!

this morning when i woke up i found my chiller not working...

last night still working fine i think compressor needs servicing.

now my reef tank is running without chiller and corals showing early signs of stress...

currently putting alot of ice to try n lower but very hard for 422 tank !! furthermore umps are all insump so producing alot of heat... !!!!!!!!

any bro here got spare chiller to lend me while i repair my chiller??

i will pay for rental !!!!!!

please help very very urgent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry2: :cry2: :cry2:

These are pretty cheap, you can buy them cheap and sell off cheaper when you're done, as good as rental

Alternatively, you can reduce your lighting period and add some fans to keep things cool while you rectify the problem.

my tank is running without a chiller but everything is fine... using aircon though.

u can try using fan or aircon (if u have those). otherwise decrease lighting. dun panic.

now blowing a super big fan at tank, off chiller pump, off cr, only running return n skimmer..

will prob off lights also... freezing alot of ice packs now also..

hopefully by tonite can buy a new chiller....

anyone can recommend a good servicing guy for heliea chillers??

You can always resell it at a small loss and treat the difference as a "rental".

If not, you can off all non critical equipment first to reduce heat, and cool it with a fan. Quite chilly today, it's raining here.

Why still keeping the lights on? The corals should be ok without lights for a few days. They will die fast with high temp instead. Do off all non-critical eqpt to reduce the heat contribution.

Have you checked with Iwarna on spare chillers? I have traded in mine when i converted my chiller from resun to aircon compressor type. Give victor a call. Not sure if Aquamarine can help, but worth a try.

Switch off MH will be fine.

Can also freeze some 1.5 bottles into yr freezer and once they are frozen can out them in yr sump, while you send for repair or trade in for a new chiller.

bought a 1hp resun chiller...will now send my 1/2 hp heliea for servicing and later on as back up.....
