 Hi to all bros, how often to do a water changing ? one months , 6 months?

once a week or minimum once evrey 2 weeks. frequent partial water change is better than massive change after many months.

Depends on a lot of factors like what you are keeping, what equipment you are running, what your water volume is, how high your nutrient level is, how committed to the tank you are, etc...

There is no hard and fast rule about how often water should be changed, it varies from person to person.

My 24G nano tank (Decommed)

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate.

And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

ya. if u keeping a tank of watre, no need to change oso can.

if u keeping the standard reef aquaria with corals, fish and the like with heavy to high bioload. once a week or 2 times a week is good enuf

if u keeping like seahorse tank or all those low bioload ones, then just adjust to correct amountnof water change and when

i changed every 3 days 10%...but u dun have to follow me la...hahaha...as i m running on cannister.

Once i upgrade to sump, i will change weekly...i think that is decent enough to remove organic waster that the skimmer did not skim and replenish trace elements in the water.

1. JBJ C-breeze to keep temp hovering around 27-28'C

2. LED clip on - 120 bulbs

-skimmer-less-

My 3 humble equipments that keeps my tank running... [DRIED OUT]

1. The RSM itself of course 2.My NEW Deltec MCE-300 Skimmer 3. My trusty Arctica Chiller

Tank parameters:

Temperature maintained at 25.3'C to 24.7'C

No3: 10ppm(b4 the use of the deltec skimmer)

No3: 5ppm (after use of the skimmer)

Others? too lazy to measure...LOL

Better to do 10% - 15% per week than 25% every two weeks, but more troublesome.

The maximum you should wait between changes is 2 - 4 weeks. and at least 10% - 25% in that period.

Depending on how low your bio-load is, how much you feed, and how good your equipment setup is, you can stretch these figures more.

But generally changing 20% of the water every two weeks is regarded as the minimum for maintaining healthy conditions for your pets.

i am trying to achieve that standard too

Don't try better. Thats like keeping your pets in a toilet that you clean up once every few months.
