Quite happy with the tank so far, the different coral colours are starting to balance nicely.

Yesh hahahaha... My plan all along was to use the top level for high lighting demand corals, had to get rid of the bubble cos it was taking up precious real estate. Thank you anyway for adopting my bubble. How is it doing now btw?

The RBTA has come back to the front just 10 minutes ago, but is camping together with the LPS. Should I be worried about it stinging the other corals? Any experts care to weigh in? I'm quite nervous about this position... That's $200 worth of corals gone if they decide to kill each other!

I think those are red bamboo algae that has split open. I found it quite nice at first, cos it is a bit luminous under blue light... But once they start spreading all over the tank I treat them like pests haha.

Anyway, one more shot of the acan maxima, I love the candy like colours so much, but I had to desaturate the redness, if not cannot see the details!

Remember to feed yr acan maxima lord with some meat...and not too much flow on it, otherwise will melt quite fast.

Did you set your white balance?

Most camera on auto white balance will give you pink ring effect for blue.

You have to adjust white balance up from auto till you see the pink ring go away

Just got a small upgrade for my LED set

Changed the strip of 3 white LEDs on the right hand side to a mixed strip of white/blues for better balance as the previous configuration was a bit yellowish on the right corner.

The upgrade came at a price though... In the absence of my LED set, I used a loan set and forgot to remove the LED lens, the pink monti bleached and my acan died from light shock by the time I realised

On the bright side, I now have a very bright and even colour temperature

Yah man the clown loves the rbta. It is past the "cute baby" stage already, now it's acting as a tyrant, I guess a bit too late to introduce a second clown to pair up haha.

Wow that is a big lost.

The 3 watt led with lens at close range is like 250 MH.

I lost 3 monti and 1 pink bird nest and 2 acro during my initial learning stage

Ya lesson learnt hahaha. Was too busy to monitor the corals, by the time I realised it was too late. The tank is considered quite shallow so I didn't use lens for my own fixture.
