DIY spear gun

thought this contraption up after searching RC and RAG.

packs quite a punch,

the point is filed sharp

i had to get rid of 3 camel shrimps who were having a buffet.

everyday they eat something different...

zooanthids, ricordeas, prata brain...MY FAV ORANGE ONE TOO!!

in fact..most of my LPS

last straw came when they targeted my orange prata.

they were so cute a few months back...

then suddenly one day, they just went crazy

anyway, managed to whack 2,

the last one never comes out anymore.

works for crabs too.

Please try all more humane ways of catching out unwanted livestock before resorting to killing them as a way to remove them.

Try trapping them with a trapdoor gadget or by netting them at night by stunning them with a powerful beam.

10 car batteries in serial and 2 electrodes should do the trick.

i need that spear gun too. unable to get my clown goby out and the normal spear that i have... fish is too fast.

Spear the fish?? does tat mean the fish will be killed in action ? If tats the case , then it is indifferent from the issue of Flushing Nemo

Can use a small hook and bait (Prawn).

At least that guy wont die

I caught my redundant fish that way.

If the fish is very cautios with the bait, starve it for a few days.

It will snacth the bait asap.

If you need micro hook, i have plenty and can give you.

you might want to study the behavior of the fish first before coming up with a method of catching them....for example, my clown and blue tang alway feed from a feeding stick so catching them is just using a transpart food container and scoop them out (net doesn't seems to work though)...my angel and 6-line on the other hand are bullies that rush for food but does not eat from feeding stick, so use i used a inverted coke bottle method, but not before staving them for 2 days....the worst i ever got is a firefish.....but still can catch if you manage it find where its hole up and block off all escape path and leave 1 path but put transpart food container....the only other way is to way for them to die....

It is those fishing hook.

But I bought the smallest one.

The sell by box. 1 box about 100 pcs.

But I only use one hook.
