Maroon Clowns are quite aggressive clown fishes among the rest. Thus adding a Perc or black clown at this point of time can be risky. How long has this Maroon been in your tank? You might need to partition or isolate this Maroon before adding other clowns.

Hey Bro, its 2 weeks not 2 years.

Bro jyoon is right maroon clown are considered the more aggressive clownfishes to be exact maroon belongs to the genus Premnas rather than Amphiprion which all other clownfishes belong to.

The chances of the maroon turning on the new clownfish in high, thus I personally would not do that. But come to think about it, I wouldn't even add a maroon in my tank. lol ;)

to keep a pair of perc clown? Some suggest getting a bigger pair of perc clown...

your case looks similar to mine. My first clown was a small maroon clown and it is one of the hardiest clown as compared to others(at least to me). Gotten it when first started. Subsequently gotten a very big pair from a reefer who decommed. The reefer did keep maroon and true pers. One thing i observed so far is maroon clown tends to stay near sand bed where as true per will stay middle or near top of the tank(unless gotten some coral to host on). When first introduced the big maroon pair into my tank, they both ignored my small little maroon. My small maroon wanted to challenge them but got chased away after sometime. Thereafter, one of my big maroon clown died and the other was behaving funny. Hence, i transferred her and my small maroon into another small tank and got them an anemone. She recoved and hosted on the anemone. She did whack my small maroon after a while and subsequently paired up with it(my small maroon managed to recover from the whack).

then i gotten a pair of true pers but as they were hostile to my black clowns, i transferred them to my small tank where the maroon clowns are. Initially, the maroon clowns went to inspect them and my true pers responded with respect(didnt show sign of aggression) and they now lived in harmony for more than 3 to 6 months. My current small tank is 1ft by 0.5 by 0.5 ft. Maybe it is a time bomb or just my luck to have gotten a ok pair. Just want to share with you. There is always exception and is a matter of whether you want to try out. Just want to share my experience with you. The choice is yours. All the best.

It a risk you have to take...not all maroon clowns are aggressive...

There are other fishes lagi worst which i experienced. I bought 3 rainbow gobies and introduce into my tank...wahh..nighmare..my dottyback keep chasing them and attack them...until they shacked out and died... :cry2:
