I agree there's something really wrong with singapore sports. last time when I was fencing, there was NO freebies at all. and in fencing breaking of the blade is very common, to replace it with a good brand cost can't rem how much, near $100 I think, and you break you pay, plus no training allowance. altho got free china coach but still, very little incentives.

 Argg... What happen Team SINGAPORE...... Mar bow tan pls think again spending so much money to the goal 2010 ..HEhe ya it was a joke and a really unreasonable joke for SIngapore.. Wha who watch the match yesterday??? the striker NOR ALAM SHARM was running like a mad dog the whole match until the last 10 mins he paint sang ready .He went out to rest ..cous there was no one to help him . And once he get the ball , he panicked and he wait . By the time he shoot , the keeper was there. . HAyA.. THat day Singapore vs duno who lar . first match. Wha there is no defence at all . And yesterday ,there was a defence but NO ATTACK . wha lau . They either play defence or attack no 50% 50 % game . RGGGGGGGG such a let down in scoccer for Singapore. Luckily never ask world cup champions like germany or Brazil to play . Pai sei ahh .They will come to Singapore and have fun only.. :paiseh:

I got a tips for SINGAPORE: .THE young lions that is . Go home ,subscribe to Cable TV and watch all the Eroupean matches and see what the difference with them. The speed, the quality , the sports man ship and lots more. Thats all for Singapore... :nc::(

the population is really too small to sustain a s league. the pool is too limited. somemore for singapore there's population demography to think about. the majority of players who are willing and have the interest to pursue a career in soccer is mostly malays. the chinese are mostly pressured to pursue for the more materialistic items in life(modern chinese gals imho are less willing to have postmen or hawkers for husbands). given less than 30% of the popoulation is malays... i really cannot see it happening.

maybe instead of getting chinese teams(from china) who clearly is here for the money and couldn't cut it in soccer back home, here to form a sleague team, we should select 30 young players, get a really top notch coach with a team of backroom staff that he desires, unlimited budget and get a deal with the J league(yearly huge sponsorship to the j league by the government maybe) and create team merlion to play in the j league. the crop of players will be reviewed yearly and those who didn't show or play to their potential will be send home to be replaced by young players who impressed in the prime league.

scrap the damn s league its making losses year after year and nothing has come out of it. like i said, politics play a large role in sports. the government will come out with the $$$. its going to cost only what they'll spend on weapons in a week. maybe the tourism board can have a role. the players wearing jersey with "visit singapore" on the front. use the existing s-league stadiums mainly for youth development. use it for the prime league. imagine fans of the prime league clubs waiting in aniticipation on a yearly basis hoping for their players/idols to make it for team merlion. maybe attract the attention of a premier league club(they stand a better chance of doing so in j league, and not. ahem s-league) and see a jurong or ang mo kio boy running out onto the pitch of st james or reebok stadium.

cannot scrap S-League. Singapore Sports Council needs the revenue to sustain those white elephant stadiums which is only used by schools on sports day and the occasional morning jogger or the group of people who do taichee everyday.

they'll probably start having ERP entry into stadium next time.
