Haiz.... Long time ago Singapore was considered good in Asian.... Now.. What the heck... At first i thought they could have savaged a draw. Lack of concentration i think..... Too bad... Sign, i wonder when can Singapore seriously be a Asian Cup contender... not to say enter the World Cup finals... Its a whole lot of crap... really sad :nc:

please. Singapore was considered good because of foreign talent like Abbas Saad and Alistair Edwards and Jang Jung. without these foreign talents, we're as hopeless as boy scouts doing their first topo lesson.

goal 2010. don't make me laugh. goal 3010 more like it.

if they want to raise the standard considerably, not only should we inject more money into the game, bring back the Malaysia Cup matches.

now those would help us by leaps and bounds.

dun feel sorry for singapore soccer.

the fact is almost every player is driven my monetary gains. when u get $3 for attending training in S-League, what kind of commitment do people expect. goal 2010 is only a joke. dun people realise it the moment it was announced?

yea. heard it on the radio while I driving.

I already says, Singapore soccer belongs to the whipping boys.. at least Brunei n Phillipines are not so thick skin

to sent their boys to be slaughtered.

With the amount of money spent, n the lousy crop of players, plus kelong in Sleague, how to improve.

Singapore was really good in ASEAN, when it was involved

in the Malaysia Cup. We used to be one notch up against

Malaysia n Indonesia. The hunger is not there any more. ]

Toothless lions.. throw it a bone will do.

don't think the likes of zidane and ronaldo played/trained 24/day for 20 years... they'll only end up hating football to the core and most likely suffer from muscle deformities

its just metaphorically speaking

of course they should receive some education too, but main thing is that they play soccer full time, something like ajax football academy

hmmm...

i used to be quite involved in the sports arena.

its not as black and white as it seems...

LOTS of politics...

from rugby to netball to soccer

the sports academy seems to be a step in the right direction...

monetary rewards for medals is also a big incentive....

look...shyam gets $90,000 anually now!!!

2010? uh..... :P

but its a goal still, no?

A Soccer school of excellence should be setup.

Or rather a school for sports. I think there is..?

Student there should be educated n priority set

for sports.

England got such school.

The millions set aside for 2010, dunno is half spent

on meeting expenses (KTV, GL, makan, buffet, oversea trip - so called to review other c'try soccer scene etc..etc)
