u are right, very observant.

The surface scum is trapped on left side of the tank due to the way the water is flowing. One good thing is that the fish food is also "trapped" and do not end up going into the overflow easily...

ya...still thinking of adding a big yellow fish...perhaps YT is hardier than golden butterfly. In my opinion, YT is easier to feed than goldie....

My marine betta was already released into the tank previously. Generally, they are slow when it comes to eating, fighting for food with other faster swimmers...but they do have a big mouth :yeah:

See video of it eating a piece of prawn meat on the rock.

:yeah:

Freshly chopped seafood!

Frozen into 2 ziplock packs. :D

Did not use too many ingredients this time, just used:

1) medium prawns x 10

2) small squids x 10

3) small white fish one pack about 40 pieces (not sure the name)

4) vitachem

try out later... :P :P

Do u have a deep tank? i.e 2.5 feet or more?

Do u have a bare bottom tank?

Do u have difficulty cleaning the bottom or removing the waste/detritus?

Well, if u face the above just like me....I would like to share with you my solution:

Maybe I had not been searching hard enough previously....now I managed to find these: :yeah:

The scraper comes with 3 attachments. A blade, a wool cleaner that rotates 360 degree and a scoop. I find it helps me to clean my 2.5 feet tank. Of course my hand will still get wet but at least I can scrape the bottom.

The gravel vacuum is also long enough to suck away the waste at the bottom..

Thought of just sharing this with you. :ThanxSmiley:

Just spent 2 hours cleaning and changing water, cleaning the floor....very tiring...

  • 3 weeks later...

Its a bulging tummy due to good makan and the fact that one other fish eats first until the emperor does.

Also this was taken after feeding. In fact, most of my fish are pui pui.

I will be concerned if its had a sunken tummy, like my previous emperor which died without much interest in food.... :)
