hi all, im thinkin of changing my mH bulb. juz to check, my ballast is 150W, current= 0.68A, PF= 0.99, does that mean tat i can use any bulb as long as it is 150W? cos im thinkin of getting either BLV 150W DE 14k or Phoenix 150W DE 14k...are both of them compatible wif my ballast? ne one has ne idea wich one is more blue?

When in doubt, with 2 bulbs of the same colour temperature, the more expensive one is usually more blue hehehe

phoenix 14kk is very blue, blv 14kk more of white still.

I also picked up a BLV but I went with the 20K, the only other option at RD was Giesseman..eek

in terms of PAR, the BLV 14k gives a higher rating and the color is crisp white. As for Phoenix 14k, it produces slightly lower PAR but it produce a nice color tint (white with tint of blue). you can opt not to use any suppliment if you use the Phoenix bulb.

As for BLV 14k, suppliment with T5 is a must as if its runs solo, it is to white....
