the snails are that fast. they have excellent food sensing mechanism. the minute ONE pellet drop on the sand, ALL will be triggered to emerge

no idea...but i dun think they are like turbo snails $1 per snail -.- maybe more ex. these are excellent scavangers and they wun let a single piece of food be left uneaten on the floor. one single pellet is enough to trigger all of them to erupt.

here is another video played in live speed. u can see how fast the snail react. if u look carefully, the person drop one pellet and ALL come out.

i think coral farm selling $2.50 or dunno...never buy before. they will keep ur snad bed fre of any uneaten food haha! very good..but make sure that every snail have something to eat. otherwise all die will pollute.

Hope they will also eat those dead fish that sometimes difficult to take out due to hidden behind the tank.

Btw is it Reef Safe??? My hermit crab do clear alot of uneaten food left behind and does not disturb my corals

K those aren't normal snails they're aliens!!! They looked like ants crawling to sweet like tat...

"Nassarius snails will spend the majority of their time on subteranean patrol beneath the surface of the sand bed. They literally plow the sand providing excellent aeration while cleaning the sand by eating the detritous that accumulates. If turned over on their back, these snails can quickly flip themselves upright.

When you feed the tank, they sense the food with their proboscus/siphon tube and come bubbling out of the sand in search of stray meaty or flake foods. After they are finished they quickly bury themselves leaving furros of sand and a small mound of sand as a reminder they were top side.

Watching them in action is nothing short of amazing. If a Nassarius senses food in the water it will come swarming out of the sand where it might be buried, then stop and point its nose in various directions till it finally senses where the delicious aroma is coming from. It will then travel faster than any snail you have seen to onto the carrion. A "search pattern" can be instituted, where a Nassarius that knows food is out there but cannot sense its location with its nose will travel a certain direction for a short while then turn around and come back past where it started from. Amazing creature!"

hello pauline haha! no la...i went home, put my livestock in and bathe. ABALONE IS FAST!!! they move so fast very cool haha! fragmaster really master sia. HIS ELEGANCE!!! i want to sleep on it HAHA
