instead of getting a 1 x 4000ltr/ hour pump, would I get the same performance with 2 x 2000ltr/hr pumps?

Same volume, if connected in parallel. If connected in series, would till be 2000l/h, but the head pressure will increase.

Pros - if one pump fails, you got another one.

Cons - slighty more expensive and consuming more power.

How do you connect in series? Is it possible?... instead of getting a higher ltr/hour pump to compensate for head loss?

it depends on how much u trust the brand of the pump. but my advise is, return pump is one of the important part of ur system. dun save on this. as for the pricing, very simple, y a bmw cost so much more than a vios even though both have 4 wheels?
