Weipro MH lights

Dear all,

I am thinking of getting the 2 x MH + 1 X (something) 4 ft Weipro light. (Please see image, I think it is LU50). I will be using the stand and am not going to hang it.

For the people using it:

a) Do you like it?

B) What is the price?

c) Where can I get it?

Thank you...thank you. :bow::bow:

Edmund is selling them. Alternatively, you can go to keong seong (havelock). They used to carry it some time back, though not so sure now.

I am running the 150X2 MH set now. So far it works fine. Indiv switches for each bulb. However, when the set ignites the whole set shakes slightly ...chhrrrr... quite cool really.

Compared to the Dersuz DIY I have, it runs hotter due to the internal ballast. However, the internal reflector looks of better quality than my DIY (which is silver). It is sort of mirror like with funny bumps... whatever. Looks brighter anyhow.

Funny thing with my set is that the bulbs ignite at a slight delay. MH 1 sparks up, then MH 2 approx 60 sec later. I dont mind, think of it as a "dimmable" MH for sunrise... hee hee.

So far, other than the heat from the ballast, works fine.

Got mine from good ole Ed.

Its abt $600 with bulbs. I dunno about you, but if you are just running the MH alone, get the 14kk bulbs... they look pretty good on their own, and you wont need to supplement. the 6.5kks are too yellow, and you need to invest in actinic supps.

my 2 cents.
