Hey people..what happen to my bubble coral? how come below it got one separate "head" below. looks like 2 pieces stick together. last time it used to be one big piece, now looks like one big and one small piece join together. is this normal? is it dying? lolz..help me ah. i scared is part of the bigger piece peeling off and going to die.

Did you check if the smaller "head" has a mouth? I dunno how they reproduce, but my bubble grew a new head recently, but not so big la.

That's a separate head of the bubble that's shrinking as it's not so happy with the conditions in that area. Might be flow, lighting...

How long has this bubble been with you? It happened before to one of my bubbles, and I didn't manage to save it despite moving it, changing conditions. All this assuming water parameters are good and constant.

yes it has a mouth. i dun think its shrinking...i think its another head. but im not aware of bubble corals producing new heads!? O.O bubble has been with me for 2 months. i feed it 2 times a week and its very happy. just weird to see it like this? i dunno if its shrinking..will try modifying its spot later.

Well, you should know if it's part of the original bigger coral Is the coral smaller now or bigger than it used to be? Then you'd know if it's shrinking or not.

In any case, bubbles can grow new heads. I've got 5 heads on my old bubble skeleton now. I didn't take it out when it started to shrink, and now 5 new bubbles are growing there.

thanks! coral looks the same. st night feeder tentacles come out, day time bubbles expanded. looks normal to me except that smallish head at the bottom. iwll just leave it for now thanks all.
