oh ya just came back from iwarna and saw some left. :) but if the goby doesnt eat anything but algae, u need to supplement its feeding. otherwise will die of starvation.. feed it nori seaweed or train it to eat frozen food/pellet

My only advise if to get the smallest you can find as I don't consider them a nano fish, algae blenny can reach a max size of about 13cm and with their feisty temperament this 13cm bugger may be a handful.

Maybe you can consider Tuxedo Urchin (Mespilia globulus), the max size is only 5cm and they are great grazers.

the algae blenny doesnt eat the ugly algae at all....it doesnt take hair algae and certainly not the nasty red hair algae. at least from what i observe in my tank. it only eats film algae.... so it will likely eat the diatoms on the glass but u wont be happy cos the fish cant clean it like a magnet can. your glass will have bite marks all over.

if u are lucky then it will take pellets and food... mine didnt and it starved to death. i love algae blennies and they are cute but too bad cant keep them... do think twice about adding one into your tank... :)

hi, just to check with all the pro here.... due to my cooling fan, water evaporate very fast. one day is ard 1LT, by adding Distilled water will that affect my water parameter?? eg.. kh, ca n ph??

u can use drip method to top up ur water

it wont affect your ph n kh in small quantities..

dose ur calcium ph n kh together with e fw added..

normally after NSW changed there is some minerals in e nsw salt liaoz..

currently i add tap water straight to my sump...

strangely, my algae blenny has been super hardworking. it also eats pellets.

The issue is that it grew so big and like Gouldian mentioned, it's got quite a bad temper... Kept toppling my corals.

But it's nice to see it change colour from dark-light colours depending on it's surrounding and mood.

I am planning sell mine, but unless pauline's tank is minimum 2', i will not recommend...
