Here're some food you can consider: 1) Dr Basslett's pellets (more bang for your buck) 2) Henry's gourmet (that one is a sure work for your wish) 3) Nori dried seaweed 4) Feed more more more! How often do you feed your fish? i feed mine at least once a day. Sometimes up to 3 times a day with different mix. Quote decommissioned 2.5x2x2 Videos: | | Your mind is like a parachute. chtan23
you can get from market stall selling dry food. or from supermarket like ntuc. China made around $2+, japan made around $

(trust me, look out for the weight of the bottle vs the price). it is value for money. Like some of the fellow reefers, i mix all different type of food for daily feed. I don't have a regular schedule of what to feed. But for sure, they get pellets + nori seaweed everyday. My seaweed is those from LFS (very EX ah), but i tried finding from NTUC, those are 'flavoured' or 'seasoned'... so can't use in marine. I still can't seemed to find from supermarkets... so i'll stick with LFS type. HTH. Quote decommissioned 2.5x2x2 Videos: | | Your mind is like a parachute. It only works when it is open. Senior Reefer yikai Posted January 29, 2009 Senior Reefer Share Posted January 29, 2009 how come u say u tank already feeding on pellet, but getting skinner? O.o Could it be internal parasite?
SRC Member big_ben102000 Posted January 30, 2009 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 yea its already feeding on pellets. i think some reefers also experience this problems. i have tried keeping this fish several times in the past. almost all of them start taking pellets after a few days, however they dont grow fat, they either die mysteriously or due to ich. this only happens to pbt that i have kept. gold rim and powder brown dont have this problem. now my tang is swimming against my water outlet in my tank... still feeding though, but the colour is alittle faded. Senior Reefer yikai Posted January 30, 2009 Senior Reefer Share Posted January 30, 2009 hmm colour fading? I think it lacks nutrition...Try feeding it some herbivore food asap. like nori. or lettuce.
SRC Member big_ben102000 Posted January 30, 2009 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 yea colour abit faded. spam formula 2 this morning now looking better. will be going to some lfs later on the way to town, think i will try get the seaweed from diaso. pretty economical. haha

SRC Member Morpheous Posted January 30, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 Bro, PBT swimming against current is not good news, its a signal that ich may be giving it discomfort. Would suggest u take it out for medication or apply hypo-salinity Quote Best Regards, Morpheous ========================================================================================== My Ocean Pets: Emperor Angel, PowderBlue Tang, Regal Angel, Teardrop Butterfly, Singapore Angel and Nemos ========================================================================================== (Only when you guard your lips, you guard your soul....) SRC Member big_ben102000 Posted January 30, 2009 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 it only did that for awhile. now its doing fine, swimming round the tank chasing my blue tang, colour is fine too. yea ich does appear once in awhile. i dont want to take the fish out unless i think its really necessary. i think isolating the fish will cause more stress and harm imo. SRC Member RevellClownfish Posted January 30, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 Bro jus my 2cent..Tang are herbivore(do i spell it rite? ) And if u feed meat stuff more than veggie the outcome will be. 1st your tang will easily get ich & 2nd they will turn aggressive... Wat u can do is a do it yurself food base.. simply put 1cup of mysis n brine shrimp buy a purely spirulina health products(grind them into powder) Buy a seaweed, Garlic liquid(to get their appetite goin) and put in multi vita and t.mineral in..n grind2 them all together and let it freeze...Or if you are lazy to do dat..jus drop by hong leong shopping ctr and purchase da delicious Henry's Gourmet..My fish find them very irrisistable(Anotha spelling error hmm shud study back) Quote Sori if you think i am boring but i think it is you who is lame. SRC Member big_ben102000 Posted January 30, 2009 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 ok, got these seaweeds from daiso earlier. cant read jap so i just look at the ingredients which are printed on some of the packets of weed. this packet is one of the few that doesnt have any ingredients printed on it so i assume the weeds does not contain anything. anyone who can read jap can help me translate and see if there is any other forms of favouring or seasoning added to it that is printed in jap? if not i will let my taste buds do the talking haha..
