Help ID this fish and this phenomenon.

Can you help me ID this fish? I think it is a damsel. It has killed another damsel in my tank and i suspect it of having taken half the tail off my only (remainding) chromis. It has also developed the extremely worrying habit of nipping near corals and sometimes on my zoos as well.

By the way, a strange thing happened in my tank right after my algae/lawnmower belnny died. One of my 3 damsels started attacking the other and killed it. After that, the third damsel (this one) attacked the victor and finished it off. I also had 3 chromis, out of which 2 died (scales fall off, fins destroyed, blood). Can anyone explain? My tank is a 2 foot tank. All this happened within a week or 2, and my tank was a peaceful tank (peace lasted for 1 month? my tank has been running for a few months) before any of this happened.

Any advice on fish to buy after this incident (cheap, good, relatively good looking and hardy)? I already have a sailfin tang, 2 common clowns and one tomato clown (+ the damsel and one chromis).

by the way, the white spot on the body of the dmasel is a camera glitch

I think you have too many fishes for a 2 footer. Not enough space for them to establish territory.

Keep one damsel will do.

Ok. Thanks. This fish is taking out my chromis as well. Do chromis and damsels fight? Should i restock my chromis or pick a new fish? Somehow, my tank always does not seem colourful enough.

U might want to get rid of the damsels. They r very territorial. For ur Sailfin tang, u might want to think of getting a bigger tank in the future.

u have a 2 ft tank, very little fish. damsel aggressive to ANYTHING. not just each other and chromis. Killed my large angelfish last time before. I reccomend, for ur 2 ft tank, 2 clownfish and 1 blenny/goby. MAYBE add another fish, like a royal grammal. then u can add corals to make ur tank look nicer!
