Senior Reefer yikai Posted April 9, 2010 Author Senior Reefer Share Posted April 9, 2010 One of my dreams fulfilled. I don't care if he wanna eat any coral in my tank. Let it. Chaetodon (Roaps) declivis. The marquesan or declivis butterflies. This subgenus of butterflies, the roaps, consisting of declivis, mitratus, burggessi, tinkerii and mitratus, are one of the easiest butterflies to care for. Otherwise known as the tinkeri complex, these butterflies feed immediately on arrival and some even in their shipping bags. by far one of the, if not, the most easy species of butterflies to keep. if not for the hefty price that is. here's my 2nd fav of the subgenus. the declivis. feeding agressively on mysis and pellets in my tank now. funny how it does not seem to be afraid of anything. even my hand, face etc at the glass point blank. i love it when he extends his fins. the armani style dorsal is cool but what strikes me the most is the swiss knife like ana| fin. a splendid fish. Senior Reefer yikai Posted April 9, 2010 Author Senior Reefer Share Posted April 9, 2010 here's from the net showing the large spike at the ana| fin. one thing about this species i find is the inconsistency in the yellow colouration on the back. i like those with more yellow but the one i got is largely black. which is still fine. SRC Member LaW Posted April 9, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted April 9, 2010 nice nice. how much u paid for it? If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless. Genesis 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
