Nano skimmer

hi bros and sis, nid some advice on this...i made some adjustment to my skimmer, the integrated skimmer frm JBJ...is this going to work? I found out if i were to do it in this way, the amount of bubbles generated will be like 4,5 times more than the original....

tats how the original skimmer look like, wif the air stone in a smaller little tube...

i removed the small little plastic tube tats holding the air stone, changed it to a much larger air stone...

and the bubbles generated is like at least 4 to 5 times more...

will this little alteration affect the skimmer performance? cos i was like thinking since the more bubbles the beta, maybe this will improve the performance of the skimmer? will it? nid some advise on this pls....thks

IMO.. the change of airstone will increase the performance of the skimmer as the bubbles shld be smaller, thus you see a increase of airbubbles..

No reason why it should not work. More bubbles should be better.
