Emperor Angel

Thinking of keeping Emperor Angel in my new tank but I wanna get one/pair with adult coloration but not too big... How small is the smallest one you have seen with adult coloration?

Hi. I have seen an emperor angel with full adult colouring, the smallest being around 5 inches. I have only seen ONCE, and its very rare to find a small but adult coloured emperor. Unlike some angels, most emperors i see attain full adult colouring at really huge adult sizes. The only angels that i see adult colouring in small 3-4 inch specimens are the blueface angel, majestic angel and queen angel. I have seen many times 3-4 inch fully adult coloured specimens for these 3 angels, but very seldom, infact only once, seen it on an emperor.

Why dont u get 2 juv. emperor angels? i love the colouring for the juv form also haha =) Adult also very nice tho

4 inches, i own one before. Occasionally LFS have. Saw a 4-5inches adult emperor at Sealife (first tank at the back of the shop)Nice broad body and lines quite ok. Check it out

juveniles are around $35-$40. That was what one LFS told me when i enquired. Adults should be more than that.

4" should cost ard 40-50. I used to have one 80% coloured adult about 3.5", the only one i see in 4 years.

But do consider if you are also thinking of keeping other angels since emperor can get quite territorial...

yea. small emperors are quite rare. only see once, and it wasnt even that small. 5'

Yes, I have already factor in that.. Should be no problem... Will plan my adding list in order...
