My ph value is 8.8 and I know that we can add buffer solution. However I dont know if it is for ph value that is high or is it for ph value that is low?

What shuold i do? Seem like buffer is to raise the ph and now i need to reduce the ph value! Help please!

In the first place, what did you do to get the ph to 8.8? It is quite unlikely PH will go so high if you did nothing to the tank, hence, my suggestion is try another brand test kit.
