Attractive to keep, after a while the old worm leaves the tube and a new worm appears. Difficult to keep for longer than 6 months especially the white coloured ones.

Ya u are right about the white coco worm, I have the same experience

This is from the squirrelfish/soldier fish family that eats crustaceans like shrimps and crabs, so watch out! They make noises as well!

New worm only from the red worm NOT the white. Red is hardier than whit but still cannot last. I have also read this in a book by Calfo & Fenner.

It is a baby lionfish.

My skunk shrimps are about the same size as the lionfish.

BTW, my lionfish only eat livefood which only afford to buy once or twice a week.

The following books I would recommed to any new hobbyist are:

1. The Conscientious Marine aquarist by Robert Fenner

2. Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman

The above books, you can get at Borders Orchard/Kikokuniya (spelling) at Takashimaya. You can check out before buying. You can buy both books at Amazon.com for US$78 including shipping, cheaper than the local bookshop whick cost slightly more than S$100 each.. Make sure you buy the hard cover version as it will last better.

The other book is a must is Reef Inverterbraes by Anthony Calfo and Robert fenner, you purchase from their website www.wetwebmedia.com, an excellent book you would not regret, cost US$60 including shipping.

There is one more book titled Simplified Reefkeeping by Robert Metelsky. You can purchase this book from it's website, go to wetwebmedia.com and click on "link" to other websites. This is a great book for DIY and offer a lot of practical tips on maintenance. It cost $50 and it is a binded black and white copy that comes with a CD on FAQs. Expensive for poor materials as it is copied and binded BUT offer good advice.
