Hi All Bro and Sis

Guess of us might be running out of patience to wait for the pail to be filled with RO / DI water. The flow rate is always set slow for RO / DI and thus waiting time is long. Like for me, to wait to have a pail of 20L filled will take 1 hour. Also sometimes we forget to turn the tap off and cause overflow to the floor.

Here might be a solution for those whom want to try.

A hole is drilled in the pail. I used the salt pail cos it come with cover. Another smaller hole is drilled for the water to "breath".

A toilet bowl flushing system installed. The other end is attached with connector for air hose type of water hose.

Connect directly to my pre-filter. BTW my tap is also turn ON. So once I take water from this pail, automatically it will be filled back where the float stop.

This save me lots of time monitoring whether the pail is full. Also will eliminate overflowing in the event forget to turn tap off.

Hope this help you as well.

Cost? Toilet Bowl flush S$9.80, Connectors S$5.00.

BTW I use the same format to top up my 3 tanks when I am travelling.

Below is how I mount for my 2 ft Quarantine tank. I connect 3 of such device to my 3 Ft, 2 Ft and 1 Ft tank by dasiy chain them to the same water supply source.

Basically connect 1 each of this toilet bowl device to 3 of my tanks. They are T off from each other and then I turn my tap on. So whichever tank water low, it will auto filled. If the mechanism failed, then I am dome. Regular checking daily is needed if any reefer would use it. Also the toilet bowl device does come with a pressure reducer internally. You can use either 10 bar or 20 bar reducer which comes with purchase.

You are right bro. Even auto-top up will have risk too.

I only use the toilet bowl device top up when I am travelling with family. No one at home to top up tanks. Furthermore I do not use chiller and thus the evaporation is quite high. I do have a 24 L fresh water reserviour running with JBJ ATO for normal days. However this will not be enough if I were to go for a long trip.

Just to share some reviews on Auto-Top up here:

For JBJ ATO, I been using it for the past 1 year. Reliable device and simple to use. However it does come with a pump which you need to purchase separately. Retail price should be S$160.

Just installed Tunze Osolator (top up) today http://www.tunze.com/149.html?&L=1&amp...r_tunzeprod_pi1[predid]=-infoxunter036. This device will sound off a alarm if the water level in my sump is too high. If my return pumps stop (not due to lost of electricity) , then my sump water level will rise. This will hit the limit where I install that alarm float switch. This is a simple safety measure that I have added today. Retail price for this is S$260. This come compelete with pump.

Hi All

For those whom use Auto Top Up (any brand) may wish to share their Auto Top up review here.
