SRC Member jyoon Posted January 7, 2009 SRC Member Share Posted January 7, 2009 Hi Bro I got all 80% of my LR from Marine Life (Henry). They seem to be lighter then other LFS. It seem to be from different source compare to other LFS. Lighter which also means that you do not pay more for weight. However the price per kg is higher. 10% from Iwana and they are great too. 10% from reefer. Just my 2 cents: Method 1 You should have in mind a rough idea on rock scaping you wanted to archeive before start your LR shopping. Then visit LFS and find the size and shape you need. Rock scaping can be like 2 island scaping, single island scaping, rock wall or multi cliff format.... Method 2 Purchase the rocks you like and start mix and match for the scaping. This way, you will have to do the scaping on what been purchase. Method 3 DIY you own rock wall and scaping from this link http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.p...mp;pagenumber=1. I got mine from Jiireh...not too bad. But i find Reborn has better ones and dun have to travel so far to the farms to get them. Depending on where they are harvested from and the quality. Good ones may cost more than $8/kg. Smell the rocks first to make sure you dun get the rotten smell. Rotten smell means there are dead crustaseans and you will introduce nitrate into your waters. I bought a tonga few months back and i noticed my nitrate very high despite changing waters. Until one day, i took out my tonga and smell, then i realised the dead crustaseans on the tonga and i threw it away.
