Hi

On Sat part of my rose anemone got sucked by the PH even tho I had a protective gadget (with only 1mm slit) at the water inlet.

I had to remove it n in the process a small part of the anemone was teared at the side n base.Removed it to the hospital tank.

Still alive in the tank after 2 days and bubble tips not shrinking as in dried up. Fishes in main tank alive n kicking as I did immediate water change and suck out some small anemone parts in the main tank.

Question is ...Anemone still can keep or throw away.

Its still not dead n moving about in the hospital tank.

:thanks::thanks:

Give it ample light and make sure the wounds are heal before putting it back into your main tank. Also, do cover your intakes with foam or sponge - nettings are still not very safe for anemones and sea cucumbers.

Last night already cover powerhead intake with sponge.

But not sure if my anemone can still be placed back in the main tank

if it does survived. :( It has a tear on the side but so far looks like healing tho and its still very nice with its red and luminous green tips.

Some one actually told me not to take the risk to put it back in the tank since it already damaged. Anymore advise brothers/sisters out there? :thanks:

it depends on the extent of the damage.

i wouldn't worry too much if its just a small tear to the foot.

if your water parems are good,

it might just find somewhere, settle and recover.

i had a bubble tip once that got stuck in the overflow,

got torn in 3... <_<

the 2 smaller 'frags' i threw away...

the biggest one i kept and its still around today :P
