Beckett skimmer help needed

I just got and installed beckett skimmer ( chippson ) with 8' diameter and need help on the proper water level that should be set on. dunno if it should be on the upper or lower neck of the skimmer. right now using rio32 for it. i set the level to the lower neck but not much of waste produced. please help me.thanks.

Its up to you to see if you want wet foam or dry to adjust the water level accordingly.

Most people set the water level to the bottom of the neck.

Too low and if you neck is too dry, the foam can't 'climb' into the collection cup.

ah. maybe will adjust to middle of the neck. you are right. i could see the foam cannot climb up cause too wet. worried if adjust too high it will skimmed out everything including the additives like vitamin, coral food etc.
