U also AT wall mount right, if i dun rem wrongly. just take out the filter media on the right side of the overflow sump (cotton wool, carbon, coral chip, etc) until u feel the height is enough for the other part of the magnet to be placed. Tats it... simple. <img src="http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> The mini skimmer damaged both of my LEDs.... cos keep sprinkling water onto it, n the cable wasn't really waterproofed and rusted, snapped... gone. $$$$ so now I totally removed it and do water change every sat night between 20-30%... which is more effective... the skimmer do help but the cup is really small n needs to be cleared almost everyday, with kids around no such time. . I rather change water once a week... But i m still not giving up on a mini cooler/chiller. just shipped in a small gadget which is like half of an Ice Probe, less the probe.. n still figuring how to mod it to fit into the left chamber of the top up sump to cool the water.... u wanna help me brain storm???? How's your tank going on? Managed to clean the backdrop??? I now also seldom brush it, depending on my snail to do the job, quite hardworking guy... haha...... Bro, I am quite new to marine fish as a hobby. Last year April 2010, i bought my 5ft wall mount from Aquatic Style. http://www.aquaticstyle.com.sg/ourproducts_wall_r05.html Before i bought this from them, i did also consider Atlantis, but thought estatically, Aquatic Style look better. It was a disaster, becos no equipment to bring the temperature down. I also did not take up their so called maintenance package, so I set out doing my own modification pretty much like you. change the pump with wave maker, try to put in a Sesun mini skimmer, even consider ice probe but could not fit. And becos my job requires me to be overseas half of my time, it has been a costly affair replacing LS. Currently, I just keep 1 Nimo, 1 gobe, a few snails, 3 crabs, 1 firefish and a chromis. Corals couldn't make it. Now i use 2 fans, 1 at each end to maintain the temp at between 27-29 degree. Curious to read that u import in a gadget, half the size of the ice probe. Can you share with me where to buy? Brand and specs.., etc. Big Thanks. Anyway, now lighting can be solved, get the TMC Aqua Ray, it will be slim enough to fit into your wall mount tank. Just have to decide how you want to mount it. Lesser heat generated too since it is LED. With this lighting, I had success with lots of zoas, RBTA (had successfully splitted 3 times already), certain LPS but I personally wont encourage as the temp cannot be maintain for the colour. If cannot fit a skimmer, weekly water change will do the trick. Just have to be discipline and do not overfeed the fish to keep the NO3 low. I now use stand fan to blast at the tank for 2 hours if temp is high, but when I m working, no one will do it... but with zoas and RBTA, should not be a problem. Last advice to you, top up with Distill water for evaporation and do dose addictives like iodide, MG, etc if you have zoas, RBTA, etc. Good luck and enjoy.
