Hi

Bought this fish 2 weeks ago (from Ah Beng, Pac Mar) and is mine and my wife's favourite.

It is very active and swims gracefully. Many times, it would align its side tangent to the water surface just to eat the algae along the water-line.

Before this fish, I have too much algae. Now, I have insufficient algae. The rear glass of the tank is VERY clean.

It is a greedy fellow and would eat brine shrimps & algae, except sea lettuce, veg & nori (waste my time, effort & $).

Like to share some shots of my favourite:

The orange "tear drop" is not as big and beautiful as Morgan's

Morgan's one is nice and there's also someone who likes to keep low-profile and also has an equally nice one or maybe nicer...

His At has a luminous streak along the dorsal fin... :yeah::yeah::yeah:

how much u bought it...

anyway how long must ur tank be.. in order to keep those AT or Powder blue tang ???

i heard from 1 uncle its say if ur tank is 4 months old.. it still too early to keep tang.. izzit true...

AT being a more water sensitive fish will require better quaklity water thus the uncle maybe true in saying if your tank is 4 months and it is compared to a 1 month old tank the water quality would be better thus more liely able to keep the tang. But he is also wrong in the sense that if you dun bother with your tank and the water condition remain very bad no matter it is 4months or 8months most likely AT would not surive in there too, in fact most fish won't survive in there.

AT maybe cannot... PBT can... But also depend on tank size..

Hey both at abd PBT grow to ard the same size so tank size should not matter that much. And pls dun look down on PBT saying that it is more easy to keep compared to AT, unless you have kept both before......

what u mean by tank size? they will die if too small the tank ???

tangs are designed for one purpose by nature. that is to swim. and swim. and swim.

their bodies are streamlined and this will give a big hint as to what their favourite past time is. zipping from one place to another. imagine putting it into a 2ft tank. that poor bugger will encounter glass every two seconds it swims. not fun if you ask me. very cruel. like locking a dog up in a small cage. =(
