Very hot in Singapore.

Perchance do you happen to come across something to stuff things up a big bird's behind? :)

Cheerios!

Couldn't find any. The places I checked are out of stock because of Xmas. I'll check again when I go back. I can get my hands on some massive syringes in the meantime, if you want.

Spade,

I know. <_<

Interesting... very blue the Radium, what wattage the bulbs may I ask?

It's not too blue compared to Blueline bulbs. I like the colour.

It's 400W on Blueline e-ballast.

The Streams are not fully set up yet. I need to get the hood off to mount the driver boxes properly or they might get wet and short out. The fish are getting used to the Stream and so far so good for the coral. I'll comment on the Streams in the relevant thread when all 4 are in the tank.

The sand clumps under the rocks. When I was redoing the aquascape I picked up a few pieces of 'sandstone' and crunched them up. Its quite common in tanks with calcium reactors.

I've been using the 400W Blueline ballasts for half a year. They were shipped by UPS from Champion Lighting. I had to wait 3 months for the ballasts because the waiting-list was so long. They are only available from Champion or Premium Aquatics, can't get them in UK.

That's what I hear. I may end up going with pulse start MV ballasts for my 250 or 400 watt DIY radiums.

IMO, I think the 4 streams for a tank your size is an overkill... are you intending to upgrade to a bigger tank soon? ;)

I'm considering a 12' x 4' x 4' front-side glass only, SPS tank with six 400W MH and six 250W when I'm done with UK, but that's just my arse talking.

A bigger tank is definite, but I don't know when. Space is also a problem.

The streams can be powered down to run at 30-100% plus they are pulsing so they aren't at full strength all the time. The water movement is large but low velocity and the acro polyps are extended more now. Only problem is that they are huge and obstruct my view.

Yeah I know what you mean... my arse is telling me my current tank is too small too... :)

I hide my reeftecs behind rocks. I like my tank to have less equipment showing... that is why I even had my overflow on the outside... :)

Thanks eprouve, but my tank is quite bare at the moment and needs more frags! (SPS keepers you hear!)

All the coralline algae are dead except those in the shadows so my rocks are grey-white in coloured.

Thanks Kelstorm. :)
