If you're on a budget, its quite an affordable light set. 2 switches, but only 1 power point, so if you plan to have different timings for actinics and white light, you'll have to modify on your own. Why don't you try Illumax? Slightly more expensive, but comes with different plugs for actinic, white and LED moonlight. Working fine for me.

Whats the best combination effect of the light tube that I can modify with hopar t5. Have been using all the while since reefing this year. But feel that my corals turn a little brownish. Not sure whats the actual reason. Is it due to light, water condition or temp? Does temp affect the coloration?

I have added iodine weekly though.

When in the night, all the 4 lights on, the effect is pretty "white light"

Thanks.

Yup! Check this out.

Preferably 2 whites n 2 blues.

U can get a separate moonlight using LED from Hopar...cost abt $26 plus

If your tank is 2ft, that's enough, unless u have SPS.

3ft and above...just go for MH combined with T5...dun waste time with hopar T5 seriously...coz you will find that it's not enough for those light demanding corals n to bring out their colours.
