Help! ric color problem

hi pple, ne idea y my ric (the top part) color is different frm the bottom part? it seems to be darker n browner in color (circled in blue)...tats nt the color when i initially gt it...the bottom part is initially the color (circled in red)...bt when i gt the ric into my tank, the whole color turns slightly brown (circled in blue)...onli 2dae i juz noticed tat it is regaining it original color (circled in red)...ne advise ne one?

Still adjusting to the environment in the tank.
