No problem..love to help you on this as i have been sick of using those sold at LFS that do not work and just wasted $16 on one last week.

What you do first is to use a pen knife to cut away a small portion of the epoxy (size of a 10 cent or 20 cent coin depending on how big is yr coral). Then you use yr hands to roll it up like a ball.

Next you take yr coral from the tank and use a cloth to dry the rock beneath. Then place the epoxy that u have rolled up on the rock beneath..make sure it sticks. If you kiasu and its yr first time, probably roll a bigger ball to ensure it secures yr coral.

Then decide where u want to stick on yr live rock and hold yr coral there for about 10 -20 sec. Apply some pressure but not too much otherwise, u will disintegrate yr coral.

One more thing, make sure yr hands are dry when u r rolling the epoxy and while doing that, u shd feel it is sticky and there is some smell, but its ok.

And thats it!

ok, sorry to ask, also from another nooby who hasn't done this, so the part that you " decide where u want to stick on yr live rock and hold yr coral there for about 10 -20 sec. " , this is in the tank, under water ? is this the type of epoxy that dries even in water, and not pollute ? :thanks:

No need to say sorry la..so formal....just shoot and ask.

Yes, u have to hold yr coral in the water.

The epoxy i used is the one by Selley's as shown on top of my thread.

Does not harm yr corals and water.

But there is some smell when u rub it into a ball, so i suggest washing yr hands thoroughly after u r done.

;) ok thanks. btw if it will be for rock scaping, is it like giving a strong hold to ensure the rock scape doesn't collapse, but if need to re-scape, still manageable/easy to detach again ? :thanks:

ooh still quite safe for me then, just shift more just in case... I don't want my elegance melting on me...

yeah tt's why I never keep any crabs... all nuisance pests. btw when your yellow tip started to recede, did it affect the red tip? Hope not!

right now...i think my red tip is having "depression" as it refuses to eat ever since his good friend yellow tip is gone.

have been trying to feed it, but refuses...so just leave it alone for the time being to let it rest.

also my rock scape came apart when i tried to stick my suns onto my rock...i din know my suns were quite big until i brought them home....i recalled it wasn't that big when i saw it in GO...hmm...strange..haha...
