Remove hard algae on marine tank equipment

Recommended Posts

you can try soaking it in vinegar.. but do wash thoroughly before placing in ur tank..

Did not know that. I keep brushing them but still stick alot on the wave maker. Will try out the vinegar method. By the way, what is the those hard algae called? The bro sold me mentioned it but did not catch at that time.

Those are coraline aglae.

In addition, do not soak the rubber suckers(if any), just used vinegar to brush them and rinse.

I had the mistake of soaking them and they do not stick well after the soak.

Really thanks for that advice. I really thought just leave it inside the vinegar for few hours will do. Now will just brush it with vinegar.
