SRC Member jas_soh Posted November 29, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 29, 2003 hi.. i may not have a really small tank but what do you intend to put in you really small tank? dink it'd be rather restrictive cuz nothing you cannot keep many things in your tank. actually i also have the same intention but shall wait till my current 40g tank mature before embarking on new project. blueheaven
i got the idea from the mini tank at harlequin. Quote But if you tame me, we shall need each other. SRC Member TanGo Posted November 29, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 29, 2003 i got the idea from the mini tank at harlequin. Harlequin guys can maintain their tanks regularly like daily syphoning or weekly water changes.. Can you? They have cycled 'seawater' readily available.. Do you? Can you afford to maintain the tank? If so.. how long are you going to do that? that's about 54 water changes per year.. How long will you be able to keep that tank? Think long term.. Not just that minute's rush.. 2cts.. SRC Member southpaw23 Posted December 3, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 3, 2003 Check out: www.nano-reef.com There are a couple of members with 2.5 gallon tanks etc....i think people do it more for the challenge that most say it can't be done....but also due to space and cash constraints. You'll be surprised with how beautiful some tanks turn out.... here's an example: Quote Tank 66"x27"x28" - Return Pump Red Dragon 12m3 - Skimmer Deltec AP701 - Chiller Starmex - Wavemakers Wavysea - Lighting DE 6 x T5-HO southpaw23's reef
