one pump for whole tank

can i use a sicce extrema to power a weipro 2013 and internal overflow system fromthe outlet valve of the weipro skimmer? is it sufficent?

reason why ni ask this is because i have another pump that is noisy so thinking if one is enough.

conclusion. its not enough cos i just bot the skimmer and pump. the output not powerful enough.

one dedicated pump for skimmer and another dedicated pump for you return.

do a check if the pump is faulty or have some stuff stuck in the impeller? pumps of that size are usually not too noisy, especially submerged.

Cost may not be a issue all the time.

Using one pump has the benefit of lesser equipment to maintain, lesser heat, lesser noise and possibly lesser electric bill.

Should that pump fail you what will happen to everything in your tank?Its always better to have two as a precaution.

pros of one pump. less heat. less electricity.

cons of one pump. more piping needed to route left right center. if one pump fails, kiss goodbye to the system unless you have a failsafe.

I don't see why you can't use only 1 pump if you're using internal overflow. unless you're talking about external sump and all then different story lah. else I think 1 pump is a good idea, BUT you need to consider if the output is sufficient for your tank circulation current.

i also using one pump running my x2 4ft tank just only it is freshwater but my 4 ft marine is coming up and have the same idea as u also

i tried using one pump but i think the flow not powerful enough.... should buy one with 3000L/hr, then maybe enough
