My sea cucumber does clear some of my diatoms but it does not touch my cyano.

Maybe you would like to describe what type of algae yo have.

Diatoms are caused by silicates in the water. It is most common in newly established tanks

The usual method is to wait it out as practically no organism will eat it and clean it up.

When the silicates in the water has run out, the diatoms will die out.

If you want to cure the situation now, perhaps you can try silicates absorbing media.

If I'm not wrong I think black sea urchins can help the problem as well.. My brownish stuff disappeared once I added sea urchinc but might not be because of them either since I never saw them eat the brownish stuff with my own eyes..

And as for sand bed I think the black sea cucumber does a good job in cleaning it up... But I think it's pretty hard to find as well..

Try star fish la. I got 2 to clear my substrate. so far so good. I have another 20+ snails for the walls and rocks. Hermit carbs are also very good at cleaning the sand but if you use the big ones, will topple your corals and rocks. I took my hermits out liao. too much trouble.
