A leopard shark can live up to 24 years in captivity and grows up to 6.5ft long (about 2 m).

IMO, unless you have a humongous tank... forget about keeping sharks. I used to have a bamboo shark(they stay small).... and it kept knocking my corals down. That was when I was a newbie. I have long since given it away to a friend with a FOWLR tank but it jumped into the overflow and died... so sad.

sharks should be left to the ocean coz they usually have poor survival rates in captivity.... especially big sharks.. unless u have big tanks like those in wisma or underwater world.... since ppl like to keep sharks.. i really wonder when will be the time when i hear ppl keeping Great White shark at home..

true true.. but u never know.. some ppl just dun have the correct brainwaves inside them... saw a documentary, there is this tour to pat great white sharks in Sicilly, Italy or south africa... where the ppl go out on rubber dingies and lure the GWS over the boat and just as it pop its head, u supposed to push its nose away.. the other is as it swims past, touch its dorsal fins or body.. really mad of these ppl to do that.. training the sharks to get used to ppl.. <_< ..

The REAL problem comes with shark feeding trips, if and when they eventually do associate humans with food.... we will have some mighty interesting scenes on CNN.

Then people go on revenge hunt.....okie, no more shark fins
