my ammonia alert.

my ammonia has not even risen to dangerous levels yet, despite the addition of three market prawns inside.

a check on the test kit revealed its less than 0.5mg I think, nitrite at 0.5 mg or something as well. nitrate leh? woah. 100 siah.

I like the right hand side. there is a break in the look of the rocks, with the rock taking on a different look. take a closer look. looks like some sort of encrustation.

one of the mini caves I created. you'd notice the whole thing is sitting on top of a few rocks. look at the foreground left hand side. that piece of rock actually looks like an outstretched hand with palm facing the sky, and fingers curled up like its trying to hold a very big apple. very unique shape.

this set of control gear controls the light. they are auto dimming, and this mimics natural sunrise/sunset.

its a little tricky to program. but once you get the jist of it, you're home free!

one box can control up to two dimmable ATIs...but since one dimmable fixture came with one and I have two ATI dimmables, might as well use both? hehz. both are on different photo period anyways.

was thinking of getting another dimmable one day. maybe next year. to fully supplement my aquablue. I want it to be super duper bright.

then again, might as well run MHs. hehz.

yeah roidan I know, purposely put like that so got a lot of flat places to put corals. sand bed taken up though, but not complaining. I just hope I dug the rocks deep enough into the sand.

Nice... Those dimmable come together with those ATI T5 huh..

yes. its a package deal of sorts. great deal apart from the fact that the dimmable ballast cost a so much more. but I like the effect it produces, and they need those pesky timers which have always failed for my other household items.

Oh... from EAn huh... They still need timer mehz...

they don't. it has an inbuilt digital timer which tells it when to switch off completely and when to dim on/off.
