black "vomit" from red people eater zoa

my red PE zoa on its 2nd day more than half excreted thick black "vomit"....exactly like thick ink...nv see black before...usually other zoas vomit white or brown....is danger emminent?? or is it gonna slowly die ?? 1st time keep PE zoa...

The brown stuff they expel are zooxanthelle (sp). It's a symbiotic algae living with the zoa.

The thing is, they do that in stressful conditions and also in normal conditions (To renew the zooxanthelle) so there's no way to tell for sure.

A better way to tell zoa health is to see if they open or not. From the pics they seem fine to me.

update on RPE..

doing very well and coloouring up nicer...have a few buds so far

(the small particles are just debri not zoa pox...)
