How to get cleaner shrimps to face the front?

Hi, have bought 2 cleaner shrimps a few weeks ago.

Happily see them for the 1st nite, then 2nd day no trace of them ever since.

So thought that they had died or something..

Today while scanning the tank, peeked through a gap thru the live rocks are the 2 of them... deep at the back of the rocks.

The gap is only 1 square centimetre wide. and it is a real shame not to be able to admire the shrimps.

Is there any possible way to entice them to the front of the rockscape?

:thanks:

from what i know, cleaner shrimps are very bold.. give them a few days to get acclimatised, they should be more than happy to appear openly, and snatch food from all your corals and fishes.. and even irritate u when u dip ur hands inside.. :)

haha thanks..

Just so happened that I saw 1 of them came out to the front to pick up a morsel of food just now!!

The 2nd one also followed, a few inches behind.

wah liew!! I was thrilled!

Haiz, then within 20 seconds, they crept back into the darkness again..

Sigh, let them grow out of their shyness bah..

ya. they will be bold in no time. If you want to train them...feed them with market prawn and use a pincer....mine will challenge my pincer lo.....hehe.
