Hi all, i would like to know if its possible to hang a Dymax Black Galaxy MH on a false ceiling. Need some advises. Many thanks!

You'll probably need a wall plug like those used for board walls, so the screw won't fall out.

 Moi advise...Don't !!!...cos it's weight is damn heavy & may fall off the false ceiling one day. I've personally witness the same unit that came crashing down in an LFS even though it was fixed to a high ceiling. Fortunately, nobody got hurt even though I was about 6 feet away from the 'crash site'. Phew !

direct to ceiling is ok but must use proper plugs to secure and ensure it can sustain the weight of your lightset. To rest on your tank, thinkness is one thing to consider and another thing to consider is whether your tank has any bracing to reinforce the integrity of the tank. For this, think only experienced reefer and tank maker can advice. All the best.
