Hi All

I need some help.Currently I am DIY LED light for my tank. I ordered Luxeon rebel from internet and from observed it give quite good result compare to small foot print. But one probelm is it surface mount and they do not have only blue colour on star ready to sell. Any one know where can I get this LED locally or can provide services for surface mount. And I saw some bros here use buckpuck for LED driver are you get it locally and where? As mind order from internet and take very long to deliver.

Can get from Sim lim tower basement.

Par meter

Good to have a par meter (not lux meter) so that we can gauge when to change the lightings. Like haveing a TDS meter, when to change the DI resin when it has been exhausted.

But those from ikea I do not think enough to penetrate your 2 ft height of water

You can get better performance LED lite from Sim Lim Tower.

Although they are also not strong enough

After running the 3 LED modules for 8 hrs as shown by the KWH meter

So how much power is consume by the 3 modules of LED during the 8 hrs run

and how much you need to pay based on the current PUB rating charge .

As shown by the KWH meter the 3 LED modules consumes 0.217 kw and you need to

pay S$0.06 for the 8 hr run

Next we will do a 8 hr run on 2 by 24 w T5HO lite and see what power is require and how much you need to pay

for running 48 w of T5HO for 8 hours.

Hi

I am currently experiment on DIY Led light to convert fish only to reef tank.

Any one have information like how many lumen should we use to light up the tank for reef tank.

Here Is the set

This is main coolwhite LED it very small but provide up to 435 lumen/star(3 leds).

My trouble is I cannot find this in Singapore. Order from internet it take very long to deliver.

If any know where can I findin locally please let me know

You need to do a solder reflow on the SMC, not easy to hand solder. Where do you order LEDs from? I ordered through ledsupply, they will reach you in less than 1 week.

I ordered from luxeonstar, Now I interrested in rebel blue as spec is very good it provide 48 lm@700ma compare to K2 that 21lm@700ma &wavelenght at 470nm. but to bad it not on star only in dividual and I have no tool to solder it.
